HUGE NEWS!!!

Hayden will be arriving on MONDAY! My sister gets admitted at 6:30 am.. she will be induced.. and then eventually Hayden will pop outta tha oven! I'm so excited. ;-) After I met up with Angie yesterday for lunch.. I drove over to the Buckeye Corner and then went to the mall. I bought tons more goodies!! ALL OHIO STATE!! They have given me the honor of picking his very first outfit to come home in from the hospital.. I'm not sure why I'm so excited about that but I am!!

Now I just need to finish fighting off this flu thing I have and I'll get to hold him next week! The only negative is that classes start on Monday.. soooo... of course I have to be there for my sister.. but I also have to go to class. Which means I'm gonna be in such a bad mood b/c I'm gonna miss Hayden's first week at home. But you better believe my but is gonna be headed home the second class gets out on Friday!!!!!!

Time for an update...

I should really read over my previous post before posting. With that being said, if I talk about something twice over.. forgive me!

So the morning after Kristin left Columbus, I was up early to head to Cambridge for my sister's ob/gyn appointment. I had this horrible feeling that if I actually went to the appointment something would go wrong.. bc she has had such good luck so far. However, this was suppose to be the last sonogram before delivery and I really wanted to hear the heartbeat and take a look at lil Hayden in the womb. Sure enough though.. she didn't get good news. Apparently, Hayden is somewhat underweight and my sister's blood pressure is still too high and increasing. In addition, there isn't enough fluid in the womb. So, after increasing my sister's bp meds to 3x daily.. they sent her over to the hospital to be hooked up to a monitor. After a couple of hours of monitoring .. they decided they wouldn't take the baby yet but that she needed to be monitored twice a week in addition to her regular pelvic exams. Apparently the last time she went there appeared to be slight contractions. Dr. Alton said that they may take the baby sooner than expected.. so I'm sorta just waiting on the call. I have faith that everything will be alright! But I can't help but worry.. I'm currently calling Venus several times a day to check up on her and to ask her if she has eaten. AND I make her promise to eat a light snack before bed.. she hasn't been eating to my satisfaction. When we were at the hospital and I found out she hadn't eaten since 4pm the day before.. I started crying! I was mad and scared and ugh! So now I'm trying to keep her in line.. as are the nurses!

So today Angie and I went to the NCAA games.. Tennessee/Virginia and SIU/Virginia Tech. Both teams I was rooting for won.. so that was nice! Even though my ass was killing me due to sitting for two entire games and then some ( let's not forgot I'm still sitting on a donut at home and will be for the next 6 months or so ).. we still had a great time. The best part? I got to meet Angie's man/love interest/obsession! ;-) He is a really nice guy and I give her a thumbs up! Even his friends, who picked on me for my weird accent, were nice guys. Some good eggs as angie would say! Thanks again girly for taking me to the game and in your hot car that you love soooo much! Luv u!!

So other than that it has been slightly stressful around here.. for reasons I shouldn't really post on blog. After everything gets settled I'll be sure to let everyone know what's going on..

Oh, and might I just add... Thursday night I went out with Brian and Jack. Our table keep accumulating people and I ran into Micki's Jeff there. So of course he and his guy James came over. Turns out James is a drag queen.. and even though he is sorta quirky.. he is a nice guy. He posted a picture he took on my myspace.. so I thought I would share. It's priceless and when I saw it I laughed my ass off!! I think this drag queen's name is Fancy. Oh.. and I cut my hair.. which is slightly noticeable in the photo! That was the night I left the second bar we went to so that I could head home and I had to walk what felt like TEN miles in stilettos by myself at 2 am!!! Angie of course kept me company on the phone .. and luckily no one asked me for drugs on the way back to my car. On the way to the club someone asked me for weed.. to which I responded "I don't smoke the weed" .. the weed.. who says that?!? I'm such a nerd.

Kristin arrives!!!

SOOOOO .. lots of great times to talk/type about!!

Thursday was the day of preparation. I cleaned my lil broken butt off to have my apartment uber presentable for one of my besties, Kristin! I vacuumed under furniture, dusted ( b/c she's been sick and I wanted the air nice and clean for her), cleaned windows, washed curtains, etc. Not that my apartment always looks messy or anything... but there are things we neglect during our daily routine.

Anyways, so the plan was for Kristin to head by campus to visit Leslie and then come to my place to crash. So that happened.. and I waited on her with such anticipation!! I even had a lil talk with Rhett about his behavior.. which didn't really help, mind you! He was excited for company as well! So eventually Kristin got here and I helped her carry her stuff up. I showed her the apartment and we did out girly chitt-chatting for a bit. She was really tired so she went to bed.

The next day came and we had plans to do lunch with Leslie at the marketplace. So we had some breakfast and headed off to campus. Initially I wanted to go by Dan's to get a camera beforehand.. but his phone was broken and he didn't call me in time. So Kristin and I went by the fencing gym so that she could see allll of the old teammates and coaches. It was fascinating for me. I'm not sure why.. but it was. So then we headed over to marketplace with Leslie. Kristin and I had what felt like the longest walk.. but it was really me just being a baby. ;-) We got there and Kristin got my food for me b/c she is sooooo nice and motherly like that. Maybe I'll be her daughter in a future life ;-) SOOO Dan eventually called and even though he was already on his way to my apartment he turned around and came to marketplace. He handed off my camera and got to say hi/bye to kristin. THEN I stole Kristin a ton more of the freebie fruit bars at marketplace and we headed back to the apartment. So we got back here and I gathered up a large load of stuff I needed to return to abercrombie and to babies-r-us. Kristin of course took charge at both places.. demanding that I get my money back. It worked! Then I took her by Old Navy so that she could buy a couple of things on me. Afterwards we came back here and waited around on Ally and Angie. We made reservations for Champps and ended up getting there around 7:30 pm. We had an obnoxious retard waiter.. ( I think you've always been beautiful Kristin!! ) but survived the night with a floating baby corn mascot inside of a lemon drop glass. We had tons of fun. Can you believe the waiter tried to give Kristin a FREE dessert and she declined?!?! Never thought I would see the day Kristin passed up a freebie! Anyways.. so we eventually left and headed over to Sawmill Lanes to go bowling. The wait was too long so we opted for chillin at the apartment instead. It was fun.. they ate my cheesecake after pullin the cherries off.. and we all chatted and they watched the Devil Wears Prada. I actually ended up talking to Brian during the movie b/c he was in a funk and out wandering around Columbus by himself. So everyone crashed later on in the night.. and so we were on to Saturday!!!

I didn't get to tell Ally bye but I did get to see Angie before she left for work. I was freaking out thinking she didn't wake up for some reason! So I went to sleep after Angie left and slept til noonish! Kristin and I woke up, I went to the tanning bed, Kristin went to Meijer for her skim milk that I forgot to buy for her and some pantyhose/wrapping paper. I believe she always went by Bed, Bath and Beyond for something for Jenn's wedding card. When we got back Kristin worked on the cards for Jenn's wedding and wrapped the gifts. After we finished that up I showered and got ready, as did Kristin. We headed down to the car, perfectly on schedule!!! WOW! Then headed downtown with some directions I had jotted down. We found a parking garage but we're both 'tards and couldn't figure out if reserved spots were only for weekdays so we opted for valet parking. We finally get into the wedding and of course Kristin had ran off and forgotten the gifts in the car! So we watched the ceremony and I got to hear all the pros and cons from the wedding critic herself!!! Aftewards we headed down to the lobby and Kristin managed to get the valet boys to run and get her gifts ( even though the card would still be left in the car!!) So we had dinner, danced.. and I met a new fella. Of course. Puneet. An Indian med student. Very nice guy.. so precious! He called me bright and early this morning, might I add!!So Kristin and I had a great time there and we headed home a lil after midnight!! I loved the wedding and everything was just so pretty! Jenn and Bryan are just precious together ;-) Aren't they, Kristin?!? ;-)

So we went home.. Kristin crashed shortly after. THEN there was today. I was super tired b/c I stayed up wayyy too late. So Kristin ended up going to lunch with Leslie alone.. which was probably a good thing. I'm glad she got to spend some time with her other friends without me hogging her. I stayed around and cleaned up the apartment a little.. even though Kristin had picked up most of everything already.. I vacuumed and whatnot. So when she got back we headed over to Chipotle. I owed her coldstone but we decided to substitute Chipotle instead. After that we sorta just hung around a bit until Angie got here. Then, oddly enough, I made Kristin and Angie sit in my bedroom and talk to me while I took a poo and got a shower. After that we went on to Mill Run to meet up with Jenny for some yummy starbucks. We stayed there until it closed. On our way out I spotted an injured duck and there just so happened to be a police officer drivin thru the parking lot. I waved him over and asked if there was anything I could do for the duck.. he said no.. but continued to hit on me. ;-) That was not going anywhere.. believe me! lol .. SOOOO we came back to the apartment and had even more girly fun/ny times! Angie left, to Rhett's demise, and then Kristin and I stayed up forever having a hilarious conversation. She was passing out on me so I let her go to bed. Afterwards I did manage to sneak in and take a photo.. which I WILL be posting!! ;-)

So all in all.. it was a fabulous visit. I honestly don't know how I live day to day without the girl here with me. So Kristin.. just know that I love you so much and think the world of you.. even when we get testy with one another I love you that much more!! Thanks so much for visiting and I can NOT wait to see you again. I hope you have a safe trip back to Chicago and you better at least shed one tear for me! Thanks for such a WONDERFUL time!!!!!!!!

Did today actually happen? Ugh.

So I totally went to bed entirely too late lastnight.. which is nothing new. But I honestly did try to sleep. With that being said.. I totally woke up too late to meet with my advisor. Obviously, today did not get off to a good start.

So I got lots done around the apartment. Cleaned out my closet, vacuumed under the furniture, washed laundry.. Kristin, you are visiting an emaculate apartment! There are still a few things that need to be done tomorrow.. but for the most part I'm finished.

At some point during the day.. I was looking over my ex's friend's wedding pictures. Shaun was, of course, a groomsman and he obviously took his new ( but not improved ) girlfriend as his date. Now we all know the glory felt when we find out that our ex is dating someone who isn't quite as accomplished, has a bad rep, etc. etc. Well, not to toot my own horn..but I was quite a catch compared to this girl.. she's just fugly. Like, seriously. It makes me smile a lil deep down inside. And yeah.. I did break up with him. BUT for good reason. He was a lousy b/f when it came to the lil things that mattered most. It just makes me sick that he has had such a good life and taken it for granted. In the process he has treated people like they were beneath him. As of the last year.. his life has been crumbling down around him. And while he still brags and acts snide.. I can't help but shrug and say he deserves his ugly girlfriend with no personality. The only thing that does piss me off a lil is that he was a summer associate while we were dating.. he would always go to lunch and firm outtings with Jenn ( his new g/f ) and Stacey.. a girl that he apparently wanted to go out with when we split up. Both of these girls are attorneys at his law firm. I always got a weird feeling when he would talk about these girls.. and he would swear to me that he wasn't the least bit attracted to them.. and how there is no way he would get involved with someone he worked with. Obviously, that was a bold faced lie. A woman's intuition is always right on key.

So I went to the tanning bed today. I think that makes the 4th time? I am beginning to see the results.. but it takes me a LONG time to actually get a nice tan. Thanks to the fair skin and red hair my momma gave me.. I usually just burn and turn white again. However, I'm keepin at it.. and even though I look a bit like a lobster.. I'm really excited. :-)

Ok.. so I'm gonna go lay down. Today has been emotionally draining. If only MR were here..ugh. Not only is he physically more my type.. he even cuddles better than Shaun. Ahhh...

Another week.. another weekend...

Sooooo.... here is yet another recap...


Thursday I went out and met up with Brian and Jack. I actually didn't stay out long.. I was down and out about the whole M.R. situation.. which was stupid of me.. but what can I say?! I'm a girl! So I went home in a slump.

Friday night was nothing special. I watched the prestige .. which is a really good movie. I recommend it.

Lastnight was Mickis b-day. So Dan and I went out and met up with her. Turns out Brian and Nick were also there. I just love them to pieces!!! Nick is so friggin cute.. and I begged him to go straight.. BUT.. nope. He did inform me of a lookalike brother! ;-) Anyways.. so Micki ended up gettin' totally trashed.. which of course!!! It was her 21st!!! I accompanied her to the bathroom and held her hair back while she puked up all the money we spent gettin' her that way ;-) Despite the fact that she was really sick we had a really great time. I know she really missed Leslie bein' there. Poor thing. But.. I do know that Leslie woulda been there had she been able. Dan also got a bit tipsy.. he's a nutcase. Then there was a sober Patty.. I think I'm gettin' too old for drinkin'... or either I'm outta practice. However, I had to drive lastnight soooooo I was the good ol DD.

While I was at the bar, I got a txt msg from MR. :-D :-D :-D
He came over after the concert he went to. He left around noon today. He's such a cutie. I absolutely did not have cuddle time with him this time.. and the weird thing?! We actually had a small conversation. I didn't think he had it in him.. but alas! Anyways.. :-D

For now.. the week must go on. I'll be tanning, shopping, seein my advisor on Tuesday ( YUCK!) and then Kristin gets here on Thursday!!!! SOOOOOO excited.. then it's a weekend of fun and a wedding... great times to be had by all.
