Posting.. finally!

Of course it has been a long time since I have posted. I keep telling myself that I'm going to be better at it.. buuuut... we all see how that has been going.

A few updates.

A lil over a month ago I met a new fella. I've seen him every single day and slept beside him every single night since the night we met.. and I'm STILL not the slightest bit tired of him! Anyone that knows me knows that this is HUGE. He truly is incredible. I think he's sooo cute and his personality throws him over the top. My sister told me we are still in that "honeymoon" stage.. and to enjoy it while I can.. haha. We are all cuddly and pathetic when we go out.. it's wonderful! We've planned a camping trip with white water rafting ( pshh.. i'll be sitting that one out! ) for the last week of June. I'm sure that'll bring about some funny stories and photos!

I'm doing great at my job. I make commission every pay day now which is wonderful. I'm averaging 200 bucks more than the other two girls every pay day and we work the same amount of hours. After the apprenticeship is over I should have a pay increase of 400ish a payday which would be incredible. That could really help me get through school ( and LIFE )since my parents are slowly but surely getting tired of supporting me!!! I don't blame them at all really.. I'm just glad that I have been fortunate enough to have them help me out this long!!

So that's the big update.. I know that there is so much more to tell about buuuuut I'm a busy girl. I'll hopefully get another post on here soon!!

Long time, no see..

So here I am.. after a 5 month or so hiatus! My sister started a blog for Hayden and I figure since I'm ALWAYS on here checking her blog.. I should maybe start posting again. I'm not sure why I haven't been.. busy I reckon.

So what is new with Patty?

I don't think I've touched on work. I started working for Petco around October. Initially, I was working at the Sawmill location.. in Dublin. However, that location as well as the location in Reynoldsberg closed and we were offered the opportunity to interview with the one location that would be left here in Columbus.. which is at the Lennox TC by campus. I was working as a cashier over at the Dublin Petco but interviewed for the grooming position at Lenox. I got the job and believe me... it is SO different. The position is growing on me though and for the most part I don't mind the job. I work a lot.. 35-40 hours/week.. but I suppose it's worth it in the end. I make a lot more money. I also just caught word that I'll be starting training here soon for a groomer position ( where Ill learn to cut/style all breeds ).. instead of the bathing/brushing/nail trimming/etc. that I've been doing now. I'm nervous but I have the background and I think Ill do pretty good. Plus, the customers seem to love me so personality should make up for what I lack in talent ;-)

Ashley, the new standard poodle puppy that I got in .. umm.. November? , is doing well. We are STILL working on housebreaking but with as much as I'm not home.. he is doing good. It's hard for us to be consistent. He is turning out to be gorgeous though.. he weighs around 45 lbs.. and at 5 months old that is HUGE. Hes a great guard dog.. which is what I wanted. He barks if he hears the slightest sound. When I have to walk the dogs at 1 in the morning that is a VERY good thing.

Baby Hayden is growing up SO fast. He's 11 months old today! He has 4 teeth in. Venus is paranoid about him having a gap in his teeth! She is so silly. He could have 10 huge gaps and he'd still be gorgeous! He is such a sweet baby too. Spoiled rotten but sweet ;-) I don't get to see him near enough.. especially now that I work all the time.. but when I do it's the greatest feeling in the world. He means everything to me! We were blessed with such a perfect baby! Healthy too! He hasn't even had a cold * knock on wood * I'll be posting pictures!

Rhythm .. the colt.. is almost a year old now! At times I had convinced myself that he was too much for me and I had to get rid of him. However, he is turning into a very sweet and intelligent horse.. I can't wait to ride him ( even if it is gonna be another year and a half! ). Chaz, the new guy in my life, is a fan of him too. He helps me go out and muck out his stall and brush him down. It's fun.. even in subzero weather!

when it rains.. it pours..

It has been a really long, difficult week.

I've been having ankle pain for quite some time now. I went to Cambridge, Ohio to see my doctor, Dr. Rass. He decided to send me to a specialist, Dr. Chlovechek who specializes in sports medicine. So less than a week later I was back out in Cambridge to see him. After looking at my x-rays, he decided to schedule an MRI for the following day and then a followup for the day after that. Well, I hadn't anticipated staying in Cambridge for that long so I had to drive back to Columbus to get some clothes and whatnot. Well, the next day when I left Columbus I got into some pretty heavy traffic and some rain so I ended up making it to my appointment 15 minutes late. My mom called the office on the way there and they told her that they hold appointments for 30 minutes. Well, when I got there ( 15 minutes late.. 15 minutes under the maximum wait time ) they refused to see me. So I had made the trip for nothing. I even told them I had to drive over two hours in the pouring rain, battling traffic all while missing an important exam at school.. and they still wouldn't see me. B'otches. I certainly gave them a mouth full.. they denied ever telling my mom that they would wait half an hour on me to get there. SOOO, needless to say I wasn't too happy with them. I was pretty pissed until I spent the rest of the night with my nephew. Then I went back to the doctor the next day and told him what had happened. He went ahead and braced my ankle and gave me a number to reschedule my MRI at my convenience. Of course, I refused to go back to that place.. so now I'm going to have it done at the hospital. I haven't scheduled my appointment yet.. eventually I'll get around to it.

I also got off the ortho evra birth control patch. We are trying to fix all the problems I've been having with my cervix and whatnot.. soooo... looks like I'll be swallowing the pill now. Not even sure how on earth I'm going to remember.. ugh. What a great 3.5 years I spent with you patches.. farewell.

Tonight I got a really tough phonecall. I was sitting in the hall in Smith lab waitin for my 6:30 lab and got a call telling me that my Grandpa had died tonight. He was working on a car and it fell on top of him. I'm still completely tore up and shocked. I rescheduled my makeup exam for tomorrow morning.. and I instead of going to portsmouth to be with my family.. I'll be meeting my professor. I feel really bad but it's too late to change it.. and I can't just not show up. So, after I take the exam and clean out the tapeworm dishes for my group.. I'll drive and meet up with my family. It's going to be really sad and hard on everyone.. I just still can't believe it. I lost my other grandpa a few months ago.. and sassy ( our oldest pet ) died a few days ago. When it rains it pours...

I have managed to get a couple of more photos of the baby... he is growing up SO fast and right now he is going through is "awkward" stage and looks a lil goofy.. but he's still my handsome lil man!!!

'ello again!

What is new with me? Well of course everyone already knows about the wonderful QH colt that I bought. I had to scratch the name 'Noah' b/c Mom thinks it sounds too much like 'woah' and 'no' ... anyways. Maybe Topher.. I really don't know. I'm just hoping something will pop in my head soon! I'm still calling him 'baby' for now! I should be sending in registration as early as next week.. but I still need to print out 4 photos of him to send along with it. A task that requires someone's help! I'm sure Gavin and I can get to that tomorrow, err later on today while were at the barn.

Other than that.. I've been spending time with Tony here and there. He is incredibly sweet to me ( yes, opens car doors and everything!! ) and I'm just playing things by ear. We don't necessarily talk every day but we usually see eachother a couple times a week. That's really nice for me b/c everyone who knows me knows that I love my freedom. He seems to be pretty understanding and needing of that as well. He works a lot and is in the beginnings of a 4 year bout in law school.... sooooooo....

Anyways, besides that I'm dreading the start of fall quarter. Jesus I can't wait to be through with college.. well.. sorta. I know that the real world is gonna suck even more.. but still! I've been spending pretty much all of my days at the barn. I love it there. It out in the country and SO quiet. And even though my arthritis is killin' me lately and I have a HORRIBLE cold setting in ( thanks to Gavin bringin over his school kid germs ).. I still seem to be relaxed when I go there. =) The family is doing well. Venus, Justin and baby Hayden were just in on Monday.. and Mom will be out next week to catch a flight to Bama. Then she'll stay a night with me when she returns, yay! Who gets excited about their Momma comin', right?

Speaking of my momma, she was just out here last week b/c MR ( we all know who that is ) decided he wanted to come over at 3-4 am after bar hopping. I wouldn't let him come in b/c I've been dating Tony ( who I met through MR ) and that coulda been the end of things between us. Plus, I know MR is no good for me. All my friends who I trust have the best judgement in the world haven't liked him.. and no one has met him. Pretty good indication that I should kick him to the curb. Plus, the mom kept tellin me it was silly to still be hooking up with him. His IQ is nonranking.. and I only date people long term who are intelligent. Oddly, Michael and I did our thing for 8-9 months.. blah. Anyways, he came over that night and ended up slashing my tires before he left. I called my mom.. she came out at midnight.. and we fixed my car by late the next evening. All I can say is revenge is sweet.. what goes around comes around asshole. Let's keep in mind all this happened JUST as I returned to Columbus from having surgery.

Oh, and surgery went well. I'm still bleeding from it.. which sucks. However, he said things looked promising. I won't go back until December.. b/c it takes that long to completely heal. We'll of course do another exam and he'll do a pap. I certainly hope that things turn out ok. This whole idea of possibly not being able to have kids is making me crazy. Even though having the neighbor kids over EVERYDAY.. griping they are hungry ( their parents work ) ... and having to yell at them for fussing with one another and watching tv instead of doing their homework.. has really made me rethink this kid thing, hah. Nah.. I do love them all to death. However, I do need my breaks. Which I haven't gotten in months now.

Alrighty.. it's 4 am and I'm going to try to sleep again. Not being able to breathe is so uncomfortable and I can not stay asleep.. ugh.

Sooo I figured I would post a quick sumpin sumpin..

Summer quarter is over. Now I have a month to cope with my nasty health news before I swallow it and focus on fall quarter. So sick and tired of everything.. literally.

Today I said goodbye to Micki. I drove out to her parents to pick up my flashdrive that I let her borrow and wish her a safe trip to Missouri. I won't see her again until December. I love Columbus but I seriously hate its lack of security. I feel like everyone I meet and get to know will eventually drift back out of my life. I suppose you'll have that with any college town really. It just makes me feel old and boring that I'll be here when everyone leaves and more than likely when they return. I don't really plan on moving. Which means that every time I see a place that I've gone with friends who have left town... I'll always keep the memories fresh b/c I'm sure to relive them over and over again.

I'll be having another surgery on the 28th. Everyone think of me and keep your fingers crossed that all the cancer cells get their pesky lil butts vacated.

Friday I got to see ANGIE! Yay for that. Her birthday was yesterday so we celebrated early with a leisurely horse ride. Then I stayed for dinner.. which I made her mom choke on corn with my nutty stories so I felt sorta bad about that. I got to ride her neighbor's WONDERFUL gaited mare. I loved it. The riding lessons I have been receiving from Gavin ( a kid that lives in my neighborhood.. who shows horses about every weekend ) have paid off. I had a great time. Hopefully I'll be able to hangout with her again soon. I've been missing so many people lately.

Baby Hayden came and stayed with me last week. Only for a night but it was great. I took my sis and bro in law ( with baby in tow ) to Don Pablos. It took us a few hours to get there b/c somehow I got lost on a ten mile trip. After stopping and asking fishermen for directions.. and then a seedy bait shop employee .. we ended up by my uncle's church ( where he preaches ) so we stopped by to let my aunt see her great, great nephew. We stayed for about 40 mins then headed to dinner.. finally. Man that was some good food. That always seems to happen when you're starved though.

I'm in a feud with my neighbors. A VERY bad feud. I'll post on it later. For now I've bored everyone enought and I'm off to either ice or put heat on my ankle. It has been killing me from riding so much. Tata luvs!!!
