Mononucleosis

Ok.. sooooooo ..

Thursday night I was feeling SO SO SO sick. I could barely swallow and my headache was insane. I called my mom at 4 am. She answered the phone still asleep but scared to death. She thought something horrible had happened. I told her that I was really sick and that I needed to see a doctor. I didn't want to go to the ER again.. so I told her that I was going to drive out and see her doctor. It takes a while to get an appointment with my doc here in Columbus and her doctor lets ppl just walk in. So she says ok and tells me to call her on the way b/c she was afraid I'd be too sick to drive or that I would fall asleep on my drive out there. So I gather up a couple of things, including my dog Rhett, and get in the car by 4:30. The drive took forever b/c the roads were really slick. I got to my mom's house about about 7. She called the doc and they opened at 9. So she got me a bite to eat and put out a blanket and pillow for me to rest on the couch while we waited. I had told her that the last guy that I had made out with was deathly ill and missed class for nearly two weeks. I had suspected he had mono so I was thinkin that there was a possibility that I had it as well. So we eventually get in the car and head out to see the doc. It took us over an hour to get there.. b/c the roads were reallyr bad and there were a couple of wrecks. When we get there we waited for what seemed like forever. But once the doc came in I told him what the deal was. That I had suspected mono. He said that he was seeing a lot of cases of mono lately. Sooooo he did the mono test but he didn't think it would come back positive. Well, I got my finger pricked and waited for my blood to either form clumps or not in the test tube it was placed in. So about 15 mins later the doctor came back in and said " you have it .. it's positive " .. well I had been joking around with this doctor a lot.. talking about my schoolin and whatnot. So I thought he was messing with me. So I kept asking " you're kiddin, right? send the nurse back in.. I don't believe you! You're joking." He kept saying " no I'm not.. why would I joke?" .. He's foreign so I thought he was just using like a foreign sense of humor or something but he goes away and the nurse comes back in. She says " yes it is positive, you have mono" .. so then I started feeling bad that I told the doctor to go away b/c I didnt believe him! Anyways.. so we left and I called and whined to most of my friends about me having mono on the drive home.

I also called Michael.. the guy who I'm certain gave me mono! His doctor tested him for strep and not for mono. I told him that there is a really really good chance that he has mono! So he is like.. " I probably do.. it's just my doc didnt test me for it. He told me I had strep and I left " SOOOO.. anyways.. I dunno when Michael and I will actually get to go out again. If he's not sick then I am.. so were not having very much luck.

Anyways.. my momma gave me my valentines day gifts while I was at home. She said she didnt know if she would see me again before valentines day but I think she just wanted to make me feel better b/c I'm so sick. Anyways.. she gave me the most gorgeous bracelet! I LOVE it SO much!! Now if only I could get better so that I can actually wear it!!!

Ok.. my meds have kicked in and I'm seriously about to just pass out. There is so much more going on that I really want to touch on everthing but it will have to be later on!!!
